French Doors — Victorian Bay Property
About this project
White aluminium French doors with a transom light installed on a Victorian bay-fronted property in Surrey. Victorian properties present a specific challenge for door replacement: the proportions need to feel authentic to the period while delivering modern performance. A1 selected a slim aluminium profile that maintains the fine vertical emphasis of Victorian joinery, paired with a fixed transom above to match the original opening height. Installed with full flashings and cills, this pair of doors will outlast the house.
