French Doors

French &
Patio Doors

Classic double doors in UPVC or aluminium — fitted precisely, sealed properly, and finished to last. Available across Cheam, Sutton and Surrey.

Classic Look.
Correct Fit.

French doors remain one of the most popular choices for garden access because they are straightforward, elegant, and well-suited to a wide range of property types. When they are hung correctly — plumb, square, with even gaps on all sides — they look and work beautifully.

When they are not, you get one panel that drops, a draught you cannot seal, and multi-point locks that will not engage without lifting the handle. Will and Sam fit French doors to work properly from day one — and to stay that way.

Both panels checked for equal reveal gap before final fixing

All hinge adjustments made until closure is smooth and even

Multi-point lock tested under door weight — no lifting required

Weather seals fitted and compressed correctly on all four sides

Clean silicone bead inside and out — no exposed gaps

FAQs

French Door Questions

Should I choose UPVC or aluminium French doors?

UPVC is the better value option and perfectly suitable for most domestic properties. Aluminium is better where slim sightlines are important, where the doors need to match an aluminium window scheme, or for contemporary architectural projects. Both options are energy efficient and long-lasting when correctly fitted.

Can French doors open inward or outward?

Both configurations are available and we advise on which suits your space better during the survey. Outward-opening doors give you slightly more internal floor space. Inward-opening doors are better where there is limited clearance outside.

Can I add side panels?

Yes. Side panels — fixed or opening — can be added to the left or right of the French door pair to widen the overall opening. Transom lights above the door are also available if height allows.

How secure are French doors?

All our French doors are fitted with multi-point locking systems engaging at multiple points along both the door leaf and the frame. When correctly adjusted and fully locked, they are very secure.

How long does a French door installation take?

A single pair of French doors typically takes half a day to install. Installations including side panels or structural work may take a full day.
